Street Pulse Trailer

Posted By grassrootsmovement on April 2nd, 2013

The trailer for a feature documentary I co-produced and ran field audio for.

The film tells the story of Robert and Angel, a homeless couple who sell Street Pulse as they look for housing, jobs, and hope on the streets of Madison, WI. It also follows several other Street Pulse vendors, homeless people who have obtained housing, and various Madison advocates. We shot this film over the course of a year. The official website is www.streetpulsedoc.com.

Documentary Screening

Posted By grassrootsmovement on March 16th, 2012

Street Pulse, a documentary I have been working on (as co-producer, audio technician, second shooter, and editing advisor) since last August, is in its fine cut stage.

We will be hosting a screening and Q&A next week, Thursday March 22, at the Chazen Museum of Art. You can see more details about the screening here.

This is the second public screening we have held of an unfinished version of the documentary. As a small group of filmmakers, we know we need to get a lot of feedback on this project to ensure its story is as clear as possible. We chose to get most of this feedback locally, as it is a local story with national resonance. We have done extensive editing and reworking of the film since our first screening, and intend to use the feedback we get from this session as we enter our last stage of editing. We hope we are close to being able to do finishing work such as sound mixing, coloring, etc.

I hope to see you there!

1) a documentary about Street Pulse, a newspaper for, by, and distributed by homeless people in the city of Madison. The feature documentary follows Bob and Angel, a homeless couple in Milwaukee, as well as other friends and acquaintances. More than just a Day in the Life, the documentary examines what it means to be homeless or help the homeless in Madison and anywhere. Initial shooting started August 9 and ran through September. Autumn shooting has finished, and we are currently shooting the story of Winter.

Working as audio technician, co-producer, 2nd camera.

Stay tuned for productions stills, updates, trailer and more.

*Just put up the official site. Sparse content now; more coming soon. Also, we have received the Distinctly Dane grant for Film and Video. Several more grants are pending.

Blasts from the Past

I found the Admissions Office episodes I and several others made in (a very conservative) college. Enjoy. Mock. Hopefully both.
